Duo Combos & Class Questions

Hello All!

New to the server, just finished downloading and I will play later once I finish up some irl stuff!

Had a couple questions regarding classes, I have not played in 10 years or so.

1) What are some good duo combos? I would like to be able to solo PVE a lot since my schedule is kind of random, also would like to be decent at pvp as well. Duoing Elites would be nice as well!

2) As far as Chanter goes, is it very useful in 2.7 era as far as PVP and PVE go? I used to play Chanter back in the day but I never got as far as endgame and endgame PVP.
